Nice hotel close to v&a waterfront

Nice hotel close to the Waterfront pedestrian area. Nice hotel which has been an Industrial building as the name says which have been removed into a hotel and business area which is shared with the hotel. Rooms are big and nice. Toilet with a shower and big smart tv and espresso machine (nespresso type) in each room. Breakfast was very good and the coffee too so that you do not need to eat outside. The famous water front is in walking distance and the area is safe. Staff was friendly and helpful. They also offer a laundry service if needed. They close their main entrance gate at 19;00 every day and so you need to take the way around the building or parking garage to exit and enter after that time which isn’t a problem at all and makes it also safe at night in case you need to step out for a smoke. There a lot of restaurants in walking distance so that you don’t need a car. At least we did so! All in all a nice stay and good choice for a fair priced hotel room.

Great location, terrible bed, so poor sleep.

The location is fantastic, a couple of minutes walk from the Waterkant and 10 minutes walk from the V&A Waterfront.
Housed in a mixed use former industrial building, alongside office space etc, the room was spacious with a compact bathroom but with a big shower.
Free car parking right outside in a secure car park was also good to have.
Breakfast was pretty good with fabulous coffee, although service could be a little erratic, one day good the next painfully slow.
All great so far....so why the poor review? THE BED!
I have to say it was the worst bed we've ever slept on! Every time you moved the bed frame and base creaked terribly, so much that if we made any movement, such as moving your legs or turning over it woke you up. On top of that, the mattress had a big dip in it which rolled you to the centre. 3 nights here and very little sleep meant we couldn't wait to check out.
A real shame as when we first arrived we thought we'd found our new favourite hotel in Cape Town.
Note to owners - you need to urgently buy a new bed for room one!

A lovely room but very disappointing dirty bath water

I select a delux room with a bath as I want to experience pure luxury stay there. But to my horror, the bathwater was brown which means I could not use the bath. It was a more expensive room than other room with shower. I was given an apology by receptionist and was told that I shall be given a refund via email. The management did not bother to refund me as they did not care about customers so their apology means nothing to me. i advise not to book a delux room with bath

Dirty, bad plumbing and noisy

The whole stay was very disappointing. From the dirty room to the water pump that keeps you awake.
Firstly, the room was dusty and you could see it wasn't cleaned in quite a while making you question the bedding as well.
The shower was clogged forcing you to shower very quickly in order not to flood the bathroom.
The worst thing was the water pumps. According to management, the Saniflow waterpumps are supposed to make the noise we complained about. It was so loud that we could not sleep because the pump kept going on and off. If I could post the recording I would.
The hotel management is non-existent. They communicate through the employees at the front desk and when you ask to speak to management, they say it is not allowed.
We booked for two nights but ended up leaving the Saturday after they refused to refund us. They kept saying that we chose the 'non-refundable' option but that means that if we cancelled because of personal reasons, they would not refund. Non-refundable does not apply when the hotel is not up to standard. We were supposed to be on a romantic couples weekend but instead we were lying awake listening to the sounds of the water pump.
If you want a dirty room, clogged shower and symphony of water pumps going on and off, you should definitely book here!

Disappointed holiday maker

Very poor facilities for holiday stays. Effectively it was a Business centre with accommodation added. Did not like open plan bathroom with no door. No terrestrial TV. Extremely limited breakfast choices. One item only plus one drink. Main entrance closed at 19:00 thus adding considerably to walking back at night.
