Great Stay!

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel from February 10-12, 2025. The staff was amazing and very accommodating. Glenn provided exceptional customer service, ensuring we were promptly notified when our room was ready after our early morning flight from Maui.
The restaurant was great, and the hotel is located in a nice area. We’re glad we chose to stay here instead of our original reservation at the Marriott on the Kona side.
That said, the hotel could use some cosmetic maintenance. Our room lacked any decor or artwork, which made it feel a bit plain. The hotel management is aware as they left a note on the counter explaining their plans forward.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

Beautiful views at this hotel. Large lanai. Room is a nice size and beds were comfortable.
Artwork was removed and room needs painting. I wish they still had the beautiful hula artwork! Bring it back.
Checking was delayed but they did look after us. Nice staff and very quick valet service.
I would return if I come back to visit Hilo.

Lovely in every way!

Our return trip to the Grand Naniloa was perfect in every way. The staff at this location is amazing - with dedication to friendly, attentive service. Reception was both professional and friendly (Carlos, Amber, Cindy and Glenn) . Sierra at the Front Office was particularly helpful with regards to our stay. Housekeeping was on top of our needs. Casas, from engineering is particularly genuine and sweet. The lobby lounge staff is amazing : Scott, Rye, and Lyndsey-so friendly , efficient, personable and accommodating- perfect hospitality ambassadors! Loved the lobby lounge evening entertainment. The onsite restaurant is lovely and relaxing. Service was spot on and the menu wonderful. We enjoyed every meal we ordered. Physical improvements to the hotel were evident from our last stay- so kudos to the new owners and management for making this hotel even better than before!!
Loved those beautiful rainbows and harbor activity from our balcony. Only wish we could live there year round!! Paradise!!!

the hotel was clean but the rooms seemed small and the full view was obscured by trees because they only put us in the 2nd floor- but called it a full ocean view-

My family had a wonderful time at this resort and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The views from the resort were absolutely breathtaking, offering a serene and picturesque setting that made our vacation even more memorable. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. We especially appreciated the hard work and dedication of the housekeeping team, who kept our rooms spotless and ensured our comfort throughout our stay. A special thanks also goes to the bar staff, who were always friendly, attentive, and quick to serve, making our time by the pool and at the bar even more enjoyable. The reception team deserves recognition as well, as they were very professional, efficient, and helpful with all our requests, making check-in and check-out a smooth process. One of the highlights of our stay was the snorkeling experience. We were fortunate enough to see a beautiful turtle while snorkeling, which was a magical and unforgettable moment. The waters were clear, and the marine life around the resort was vibrant and diverse, offering a fantastic opportunity to explore the underwater world. Overall, we had an exceptional experience at this resort, thanks to the stunning views, friendly staff, and amazing activities. We look forward to returning in the future!
