A great weekend trip!

We will definitely be back! This was my husband and I’s first time staying overnight near Newport after doing day trips to the cliff walk for Daffy Days for years. Betsy greeted us as soon as we arrived and gave us tips on the best dinners nearby. She was so helpful and friendly. We Ubered downtown easily. Love a free breakfast in the morning too!

I was greeted right away and offered some water, tea or coffee. Check in was quick and easy. My room was clean and the air was already on. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely book again

Close location to all the sites

We took a quick trip to Newport and pick this location as it is close to all the key site’s. This hotel just needs to focus on the attention to detail and this place will be a gem.
1-we asked for our room to be clean/ make the bed but they failed to also make the pull out mattress for the kids. Just cutting corners and not doing attention to details.
2-the pool area had such few towels for guest to use that people had to share with their kids.
3- the pool was cloudy and paint was falling off the steps floating in the pool. Please clean the pool and make it clear as pools should be. Also the steps and floor in the pool seem like they are tilted and not straight.
4-the breakfast area was empty and nobody was present to restock empty items.
The positive notes is that you are a 7-10 min drive to all the Newport mansions and close to all the actions. No resort fees or parking fees so it’s a great pick for a quick stay with kids. Just know the attention to detail is missing here.

As you can see from our plethora of 5-star reviews, your stay with us was certainly an anomaly and we appreciate the opportunity to respond.
Last week while you were with us was Spring Break for Massachusetts & Rhode Island public schools - our busiest "pool week" every year - and given the recent snow and bone-chilling weather, our indoor heated pool was certainly a hot commodity. In the future feel free to stop by the front desk, our agents would have happily provided additional towels, and they could have informed another team member of the much-needed towel restocking.
We drain, repaint, and re-apply traction-grouting annually - if you were with us this week, you'd see our pool is closed Monday-Friday for this annual maintenance.
I'm sorry to hear that you room did not receive full service from the housekeeping team. This kind of feedback would be more helpful to our operation in the moment, but I have shared your post-stay review with our housekeeping leadership to ensure procedures are properly followed and we're meeting our guests where they ask us to. In the same spirit, I have shared your breakfast commentary with our Food & Beverage team.
The hotel has issued points to your Honors Account, in hopes of ensuring your continued loyalty to the Hilton family of hotels. Great Stay

Had to make a last second reservation and the staff was very helpful. Clean hotel, clean warms, warm cookies, and good hot breakfast. We are from Florida and don't deal with snow, so we had no idea to put our windshield wipers up. When we came out in the morning and saw our rental covered in snow, we found out the grounds staff put our wipers up. They went above and beyond with their hospitality .

Say hi to Betsy!

Betsy is pure joy. From the moment I called and had my room assigned to being serenaded on the ukulele… Betsy is a dream. I’ve never felt more immediately welcomed and appreciated than I did on this stay. I usually skip Hampton Inns as a diamond because I prefer a location with bedroom doors but I will absolutely come back to this location. Excellent room. Comfy bed. No noise. Welcoming staff. I could go on and on

And you are correct on our lack of bedroom-separating-doors, but we do have a private bedroom option for a 2-queen bedroom suite we'd be happy to upgrade a Diamond member into (if you're okay with the additional bed, and we have the availability to produce a complimentary upgrade).
And while we're familiar with the broad Hilton family of brands, and we are "just" a Hampton Inn & Suites - we do try to step our game up when it comes to ensuring our guests fell like they're at a home away from home.
