Practical for park benefits

We stayed two nights to visit Cedar Point Park. Benefits of Sleeping in a Park Pension are: Free Parking in the Parking Lot, Access to the Park 1H Before, Package at Discounted Awards. Pension is basic but comfortable. There is no indoor pool or restaurant. Cleaning is done only every two nights. It is 5 minutes from the park by car. When the park is very popular, it can take 45 minutes to reach it by car. That’s what happened to us on a Friday night.

Ants in Room

Ants were found in room upon arrival in bathroom and main room. Housekeeping did come right away to spray and cleaned the floor. The Raid they used then was smelled all through the room. Not sure why they did not offer to move us. The ants were found the next day crawling on the bed as well.
Sidewalks around the Hotel were not touched the entire stay and it was extremely icy and snowing.

Over priced. Low on amenities. Difficult staff.

Far overpriced for any hotel at $317/night. They don’t have any amenities such as indoor pool, fitness room or a complementary breakfast which are standard at mid range hotels at less than half the price. We’ve stayed at high end hotels in high end areas such as northern Virginia for $100 less and had full gyms and breakfast buffets with made to order omelette stations.
The rooms were clean and adequate. No frills.
The front desk staff ranged from unknowledgable to unhelpful dismissive with no public communication skills.
We were due a 10% discount which was acknowledged the night before but passed to check out. No help at check out just a recusal and a rude pipe in by a clerk that had no involvement. Had to bring the wife in.
Eventually got a supervisor who followed through.
Stressful start to what was supposed to be a fun day.
The early entry doesn’t make up for all of that.

Everything was just fine with the exception of the bathroom. The lights flickered in the bathroom the door would not latch closed or lock. There was also an issue with the toilet that would wobble. There were no towel hangers except for in the shower itself. Just a lot of updates in the bathroom. The woodwork on the TV stand is very outdated and worn as well as the chairs on the desk. Other than that the bed was comfortable the room was convenient and the hotel overall was in very clean condition
