A lovely spot!

We are two older couples from Canada travelling around Australia and stayed at the cottages in Jan 2023. Fabulous! The cottage was spacious and very clean! The grounds are absolutely beautiful!
The kitchen is extremely well equipped - as was the whole cottage! We enjoyed our stay very much!

Dog friendly thank you but a little disappointed.

The cottages are set in a lovely area, and in beautiful grounds. Ideal for stopping between Melbourne and Adelaide. Pet friendly which is very appreciated. Beds comfortable, breakfast provisions good and bottle of wine a nice touch. We stayed one night in possums paradise. A quiet cottage away from the road with a nice outlook.
We have to express our disappointment however. The cottage smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. The toilet continually had water running unless the tap was turned off after filling. ( the owners new of this and compensated with cooked breakfast provisions ). The spa bath which we were looking forward to using had filthy jets and we couldn’t bring ourselves to use the bath.
With attention to these issues the cottages would be a good option for travelling through the area.

Perfect accommodation so close to the Coonawarra wineries

If only there was an extra star rating to show how these cottages have gone above and beyond. We stayed in the Blue Wren, 2 bedroom cottage. Not only did it have every amenity and beautiful decor but it had a sense of being very well looked after. The attention to detail amazed us. Fully equiped kitchen including dishwasher, comfortable beds with electric blankets, spacious bathroom area with separate toilet and ability to separate the basin area from bath area. Both bath and separate shower, and heated towel racks. Full laundry with washer and dryer. Fine quality linen, towels and furnishings. This is one of the rare places where you can not only park undercover but unpack to your door undercover. Veranda all around with outdoor furniture and BBQ. Ingredients supplied for hot or cold breakfast. When we arrived after many hours driving, we really appreciated the bottle of wine and chocolates. We sat in the gazebo in the beautiful grounds and watched the sunset over the fields with quietly grazing sheep and sipped the wine. We felt so at home and so well looked after in this welcoming cottage with its taste of luxury. If only we could have stayed longer.

Home away from home

Thankyou Carolyn for hosting our family this week. It’s one of the few places that hosts a true B&B experience and we felt so welcome. Dogs loved the grass to run around on, kids loved the walks to the sheep and to play and I think they are all the chocolates and biccies the moment they walked in
Will certainly be back again!!

Wonderful with an emphasis on comfort!

We chose Possum's Cottage due to the fact the other two were for more people offering 2 bedrooms, and we only needed one! The attention to detail along with all the beautiful and unusual furnishing was a delight to see. The breakfast provisions whether wanting Continental or Cooked were exceptional. More than enough, juices, or bottles of water in the fridge, along with a complimentary bottle of wine and delicious hand made sweets. An excellent bbq on the rear verandah and there was nothing that we needed that could not be found! A credit to the owners and situated in such a delightful and private setting along with table and chairs on the front verandah to sit back and watch the sun set! Very enjoyable and this Cottage certainly exceeded our expectations!
