Beautiful setting

Cosy & comfortable with great food. Staff were friendly and attentive at both breakfast and dinner. Decor was a little tired but it didn't detract from our enjoyment of our stay. We were upgraded to a superior room with a view which was beautiful.

The saddest most unloved hotel in the country!

This is a beautiful building. It is crying out for an owner to take it over and make it something special. Sadly Best Western aren’t it. It is dreadful! No expense whatsoever has been put into this hotel. From the lack of any form of table decorations throughout, to the worn carpets, some dating back to the seventies! It does not look like the professionally taken pictures!
No one cares about this place, not one bit. No effort is put in to it. For example, the three tatty old plastic plant pots in the car park, unplanted and half broken. Any other hotel would have just one stunning stone one or they’d simply chuck the this ugly ‘first impression’ away. The management here don’t seem able to see the problem.
I just walked around the desolate public areas thinking why is it all so empty and sad? Mind you, on every landing there’s a lovely offering of flowery 1980’s style ironing boards to match the curtains
The breakfast was lacking in service and quality. My seat was filthy.
The only plus side was the bedroom was clean. However, I could not wait to leave. Someone, somewhere buy this beautiful hotel and overhaul it, Best Western you should be ashamed.

Lovely stay at this well located hotel that is10-15 minutes walk from the centre of Bradford on Avon (which is gorgeous). Nice breakfast and very friendly service especially from the lady on breakfast service. The views from the breakfast room and grounds are stunning.

Wedding anniversary

We got married at this venue on 5th April 2024 the people could not have been more helpful in making a day so special .we returned exactly one year later and again the staff were wonderful and very welcomein ,in marking are first anaversary so very special

The hotel is a very popular venue for weddings and events over the weekends and occasional weekdays and has music until late that may affect some of our guest rooms. During such events the public bars and other public areas may become busy. If you are with us for multiple nights we would not usually service your room during your stay, however we can on request. Please let us know on check-in if you would like your room to be serviced during each day of your stay. The guestrooms are located over three floors without lift access, only a limited number of ground-floor rooms are available. Due to the original architecture of the Georgian period property all floors have varying levels and do require some access via steps. Assistance is always readily available. Should you have any concerns please contact the hotel for further information.
