Warm friendly and welcoming

Used The Grange for a funeral reception. From the moment we contacted them through to the event, Dino and Mike were so warm, welcoming and friendly. They were very happy to accommodate our small requests. The room we used was absolutely perfect for our needs, a lovely roaring fire in the bar area off the main room, with a separate area for the food. It was all laid out so lovely and perfect for a private reception - everyone felt so relaxed . And we were able to use a large tv screen set up provided by The Grange to play a video of pictures with music. The food was amazing , and Michelle had even prepared some special requests that we had. We had family travelling from long distances so the venue was perfect to get people back on the motorway with no town traffic issues. Everyone said what a wonderful venue it was and was a great reception we had to really spend time with family and friends remembering our loved one. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending The Grange and I can’t thank Dino, Mike and Michelle enough for providing the perfect reception.

If you like mouldy damp rooms then you are in luck!

Damp carpets, mould on ceiling and walls in bedroom and bathroom. When complained to the owner/manager he was extremely rude. Although you can book a dog friendly room they then charge you an extra dog supplement on arrival. Not worth the money or health risk.

Disgusting dirty and rundown

Be aware!
States they are dog friendly then rip you off an extra £20 when checking in.
Scrapped cars on the driveway what a lovely welcome.
A very small double room had a large wet patch on the carpet then looking above quite clear to see the roof has been leaking. We called the owner to have a look who also agreed but done nothing to help or even offered to move us as the other room available as said nothing else was dog friendly.
Mouldy walls in the bedroom, damp bedding and mould on the ceiling in the bathroom.
We are reporting to environmental health.

The hotel was ok, we stayed in a family ground floor room, it smelled fusty of damp and the littke things coukd have been better, like a cafe net up the cloak room was mucky n corners of window n sill mucky, beds were great sheets clean but just a bit outdated, that said staff were fab and woukd stay again. The family in the room above room 1 were bloody noisy though

Location, fantastic room,service outstanding, the gardens beatiful
iservice outstanding. What a view.
Room clean tea & coffee facilities.
Staff professional and customer service outstanding.
Thank you so much for making our stay ❤️ enjoyable
So if you want to get away from the rat rase of the city this the place for you.
