Enjoyed the stay and staff very polite and welcoming, beds were comfy put cleanliness could be better as my room had quite few cobwebs and cleaned bit better but overall was ok

Not as expected.

Such a shame. This pub was not what we expected. Walked in had a drink and left. Upon reading the last review I can see it was a good choice not to eat there. Tetsworth is such a lovely village with excellent walks and the pub just lets its down. It needs a bit of love thrown at it and complete overhaul. We visited a couple of years ago and thought we would visit again. Not the same place at all. It could be a nice spot.

Always check your hygiene rating before eating here!!!!!!

Just popped in to have a quick bite. The drinks were awful, cheap coffee and a watery tea. Breakfast was just as bad, wasn’t given an option of bread. One of the bits of bread has cheese stuck on the bottom (cross contamination as no cheese was on the meal) checked hygiene rating and soon left.

So much better than a motorway service stop!

We were travelling home from family in the South and remembered this pub from visiting friends. Evening traffic was crazy so we diverted easily to this wonderful pub(very close to Oxford Services) and enjoyed home cooked food for a very reasonable price overlooking the village green. Perfect way to refresh and clear our heads before continuing on our way.

Quality Afternoon Tea

Lovely village pub, overlooking the green. The Afternoon tea was delicious. Extremely fresh bread with a variety of different fillings. Hot quiche and sausage rolls. The cakes were lovely followed by warm scones and jam. They even served a Homemade trifle. Great value, honestly we had a great time and pleasantly surprised. We will definitely be back. Service was excellent too. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
