Wonderful Stay

Lovely hosts in a beautiful guest house. I was given a very warm welcome and made to feel completely at home. Delicious homemade lemon drizzle cake, bread, marmalade and eggs from their own hens. Kind hosts who are very open for chats and company in the communal areas but also let you come and go as you please and enjoy your own time in your private room. Definitely recommend.

Lovely Short Stay Whitsun Week

We had a lovely stay here and the hosts Helen and Steve were very welcoming to us and also our pet dog Hazel. Nothing was too much trouble , we are so glad we decided to make the most of the lovely weather and booked the B and B at short notice.
We were made aware of a continental style breakfast when we booked and it was very nice including home made bread, free range eggs from the farm, home made marmalade and breakfast cereals , tea and coffee too - honestly we could not fault it.
We were also allowed to use the dining room one evening when we had a take away and the room was comfortable for our short stay and a powerful hot shower in our twin room which was on the ground floor which suited us fine with our little dog.
The fields by the farm were ideal for walking our dog and there are countryside parks nearby.
It is a good base for exploring West Wales , and we look forward to visiting again for another short break in the future.

Disappointing!

After a lot of research, carefully reading reviews, I decided this venue would be ideal for a trip to Wales, to celebrate my father's 90th birthday.
On arrival, from Essex, it was clear we were unexpected :/ That being said, we were eventually welcomed in, and the host's apologies were warmly accepted.
However, my main reason for booking was the promise of an 'exceptional breakfast'. This expectation was quickly dispelled when we were informed that the owner was physically unable to provide anything cooked, other than eggs on toast. It was also made clear, though, that poached eggs were a step too far :/
If, I had been advised, a full English breakfast would not be available, I would have understood, but I would have almost certainly cancelled, and found alternative accommodation.
As a family, our reasons for a visit to Wales were many, and my daughter and I wanted to make sure this trip was as memorable as possible, for my father. He is ninety this month, has suffered from countless bouts of ill health, and, we are all acutely aware, it could well have been the last time he is physically able to return to the churchyard where his wife, my mother, is buried.

I am sorry you were disappointed with your stay.
If you had read all the information on our website you would of noticed that it clearly states that a light breakfast is offered. It consists of home made bread, our free range eggs, homemade marmalade, fresh fruit salad, cereals, porridge, yogurt, pastries if required.
Apologies regarding the 1 dog hair you found. We do advertise as being very dog friendly and also having 2 dogs of our own. It was very unfortunate that 1 hair escaped our strict cleaning regime. We will be a great deal more vigilant in the future when inspecting for dog hair.
I hope your father is keeping well.

Amazing countryside bed and breakfast.

This is a lovely place to base yourself. Helen and Steve are very friendly and welcoming. The accommodation is top notch. Very clean and tidy and everything in the room. We stayed in the double room ensuite upstairs which was fabulous. Breakfast was amazing and nothing was too much trouble for them. We have already booked to go back in October. Thank you both we had a great time.
Thank you Gary and Karen Whitehead see you soon.

Dog loving and peaceful get away

Helen and Steve were fantastic hosts. Dog friendly, spotless, welcoming accommodation in a location that was ideal for exploring Carmarthenshire. We loved our stay. Lots to see in the area; we highly recommend the unspoiled Pembrey Beach.
