Beautiful days at the Baltic Sea

It was a very nice stay at a hotel with very nice and attentive staff
Our room was a good size and the shower/WC area was quite modern, which we liked. The sauna area is a bit small, but by the pool were enough loungers.

Unconventional interpretations...

We were there for a short break. The reception was joyful and we quickly got our room card. We had booked a suite. The room was in but not a suite, but a room with an extra room in which was another covered bed. The room did not look like the pictures on the website. On request, it was snippily revealed to us that the term suite here would mean that there was an additional room. That's not how you treat guests. What are we supposed to do as a couple with an extra bed in an extra room where there was still a (desk) table to which there was not even a chair? This room is only of use if you travel as a threesome, otherwise completely pointless. To call this room a suite is beyond cheeky. The bathroom was very modern and beautiful, but very small. On toilet you had to park backwards between wall and shower. Suite halt. In addition, the bathroom had a glass door. If there was light in the bathroom, at least outside you couldn't see anything. Inside, you were in the spotlight, like on a show stage. Room service was only available when the sign was hanging outside. We made the most of it. Dinner was terrible and unimaginative. Only the breakfast was good. Since we hate to be silly, 2 stars, not again.

Very nice place!

We stayed there in the course of my birthday for one night with our four-year-old. The hotel is incredibly nicely located and looks a lot from the outside. Here you can see the attention to detail everywhere. We also liked that it is not located in the "tumult" of Kühlungsborn but something (3km) away. So you have your peace in front of all the other holidaymakers. We had the junior suite which was very spacious and super nicely decorated. The bed was fantastic, so was advertised on offer, we can only confirm that. For a hotel bed really great , the whole atmosphere in the hotel was friendly , everything clean and well maintained , up to date. The swimming pool was good, big enough to splash something, again everything clean and tidy. The breakfast was really one of the extra class, very fresh and again you saw that you are concerned, a very nice facility , also the outdoor area. Only one of the saunas was not in operation , as the other was busy, I wanted to switch to the left one, which unfortunately did not go. I could certainly have tried the staff, but it wasn't that important to me. So, everything is really right here, if we wanted to go to Kühlungsborn again, we would only sleep here!

Looked nice on pictures, but disappointed us

When booking we were very excited about this hotel. On the pictures it looked beautiful and it seemed that way when we arrived. The welcome was very warm and all the staff are friendly. We had a big room. It was very hot and no possibility of cooling, because the sun was on our window all afternoon. The bed was fine. The bathroom very dated. Moderate shower. In terms of pricing, you would expect to find a mini fridge and coffee or tea facilities in your room, but there were none. The pool has also had its best time. The door barely opened (clamped), at pool it was a mess of old exercise bikes. The door to the outside had been seen dilapidated has not been opened for ages and the sunbathing area lay there as if it had not been done for ages. Grass was yellow and chairs dirty, old and worn. As well as playground where all equipment was broken.
In the evening we ate well there. Simple, wasn't worth the price we paid for it. Guests who arrived after half past eight were out of luck. Despite the kitchen closing at 9pm the cook had already gone home. I get that the guests were angry about this. Breakfast was perfect.
The hotel is already quite pricey and to my surprise we also had to tick off 5 euros a day parking fee. Paying to park at a hotel seems to be a new revenue model and is not really indicated on the websites. We therefore left with a not so good feeling. A shame, because is nicely located a short distance from the nice resort of Kühlungsborn.
The sign at reception: Expensive???? Don't think, just quickly put your ATM card through, hit the nail on the head....

For a short break anytime again

Wonderful hotel with helpful and always friendly staff.
We were positively surprised for the first time, because we have already experienced something different elsewhere when we arrived at the hotel shortly after 20:00 and asked for dinner: "Take your time, arrive first, we definitely have something for you."
The food was delicious, whether in the evening or morning from the breakfast buffet. The gym is amazingly large and very well equipped for a hotel. The rooms are great.
By bike it is almost ten minutes to the sandy beach, if you like a stone beach, you can also reach the Baltic Sea in seven minutes.
The Wittenbeck Resort definitely makes our list of hotels for a short break on the Baltic Sea.
