Everything was perfect.

Nice room with good views, good dinner and a fabulously good breakfast.it is the best I have, stayed on.I stayed there several times.And the hotel was very nice with good restaurant and bar.and out there was a nice sauna on the sea, short distances to most.

Well...

Had a suite. Was everything kept a bit frugal. Too few towels (requested). No shower cap; no telephones in the rooms. No pen, no paper, 1 tea bag... If you wanted something, you had to go to the reception, which was mostly frequented by many guests. There was definitely too little parking for this hotel. There were ‘reserved’ parking spaces about 3 pieces, on each of which 1 pallet stood. When asked if they could be used, they were told they were for special guests. Unfortunately, these ‘parking spaces’ were neither occupied at night nor during the day. When asked where you should park then you were directed to the streets that were also parked or you should park in a somewhat distant hotel for 150 kr per day. This wasn't a feel-good hotel for me. The restaurant was huge . The food's okay. Norwegian wine prices.

This hotel is one of my favorite hotels I’ve ever stayed at! First of all, the service from everyone I came into contact with was incredible. From front desk, to the dining staff, and even a housekeeper who taught me how to lock my door lol. Everyone working there was great! Second of all, it’s a beautiful hotel, and I think at least half of their rooms have sea views. I was soooo happy with my room! It was clean and very cozy. Plus, heated bathroom floors blew my mind lol. Lastly, the included breakfast was so good! They also had unlimited tea and coffee available. I am definitely a coffee drinker and I think I had at least 10+ lattes even though I just stayed just 3 days.
Overall, this hotel is worth their price! I left obsessed it.

Brilliant hotel

We never stay in hotels, but this hotel seemed good value for a winter trip to Lofoten using Svolvaer as a base. Everything about the hotel was excellent, from the room to the food. Appreciated the complimentary drinks in the foyer after a cold day exploring. The staff were ALL incredibly friendly and helpful. Parking is somewhat limited , but really ... who cares?

Excellent location in Svolvaer, Norway. Great stay!

This happened to be our first stop on our trip to the Lofoten Islands -- which are within the Arctic Circle. We were surprised that there was no compromising comfort or finer hotel stay pleasures in Svolvaer at the Thon Hotel Svolvaer. We definitely learned to appreciate the quality provided at Thon Hotels. One minor comment - parking is not the easiest, but it isn't impossible either.
