Catastrophic TO AVOID

Catastrophic accommodation, in summary: water leak in the living room never repaired, smells of horrible skeptical pit preventing to use a bedroom, dishes and kitchen utensils to be completely cleaned, swimming pool unusable because yellow and pierced, garden furniture very damaged and arbor missing, table that holds by sktoch, toilet and bathroom very dirty, blocked showers, Owner who enters the house whenever he wants, his house is just separated by a bay window, camera in the living room...

We had a good stay despite some small or even big problems. Between lack of gas (no hot food for 1 day), swimming pool that empties itself, hornets, cold or hot water with a more than low flow, the stay was sometimes complicated. The exterior of the building is great but the interior is to be reviewed (and quite dirty despite the arrival of the housekeeper that morning). Eric was not available on the phone which caused us some problems but was able to help us at times. Second pool not notified on the site and much better than the one in the photos. Falsified dormitory (not as in the photos). Showers quite complicated to use with many leaks (pee was falling). If you are with friends rather young it is super cool, but with family or for serious events it is (I think) not the right place

The house of horror

The house of horror, deplorable condition of the house, microwave not cleaned, toilet drawer with mouse droppings, cobwebs everywhere, dormitory with dead and living hornets, shower heads floating in the bowl toilets…. And many more. In short, above all, do not rent this house

Appalling. I would not recommend that anyone makes a reservation here.

This is the worst experience that I have encountered through a booking.com reservation. On arrival at 1745, we contacted the owner by telephone as we knew that we were 15 minutes early. The recipient spoke only French but we explained that we had arrived at the hotel; that it was locked, in darkness, nobody was present either staff or guests and asked what we should do. In combination with another person on the phone who spoke limited English, they asked whether a blue car was at the hotel and explained that a key was placed in a location that we could find. We should gain access and await the owner who would arrive within 30 minutes. They expressed significant surprise that there was nobody at the hotel expecting a blue car to be present. The “hotel” was in darkness, locked, nobody was present - neither staff or guests. We gained access using the key, all of the bedrooms were open and unoccupied, there was some damp bedding on the bed in our room together with several damp sheets and towels on a washing line in the upstairs hall. There were no coffee, tea or hot drinks facilities available. The toilet in the room was disgustingly filthy, water was coffee-brown in colour, there were no towels in the room and there was no hot water and the hotel was cold and clearly not prepared for residents. In summary the room was extremely poor, there were no staff and no facilities available. We waited for 90 minutes and the owner did not attend the property or any staff despite promising that they would attend within 30 minutes. We tried to contact the owner again by telephone and nobody answered. With no alternative available, we left the property and booked another hotel. No contact or apology was made by the owner via email or telephone for the lack of check-in facility or staff available and the hotel being closed. We are currently in dispute over a full refund of the charges.

DO NOT BOOK HERE!

Travelling from the UK and arrived at Moulin de Morance at the earliest allowed arrival time of 6pm! Had our dog with us too. When we pulled in to the grounds the owner came to the car and kept saying our booking was cancelled (very difficult to communicate as he spoke very quickly in French - it appeared to be with the intention of me not being able to understand!). It turned out he had cancelled our booking at 3pm that afternoon as he had a larger party wanting to stay! We were left trying to find alternative accommodation very late in the day!
Disgusting treatment and not a nice man!
