Lovely hotel but needs a bit more attention to functionality and customer comfort

My husband and I spent one night at Poshtel. Our first impressions on entering were how aesthetically pleasing the hotel is, with so many amazing and unusual artefacts. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, and booked us a table for dinner nearby. Later as we settled into our room, (Music Room) we began to see that it was not suitable for two people. It had one bedside light, and one huge armchair so only one of us could sit down. Luckily we were only staying for one night, as if we were staying longer there was no place at all to store clothing and only two clothes hangers in the room! It began to rain in the evening, so we thought we would enjoy the lovely bar/lounge area of the hotel. We like to play board games, so we went to the bar/lounge area just before 8.00pm and were planning to play there as we had no table and only one chair in our room. We were disappointed to be told that we couldn’t sit there as the area would be closed up at 8.00pm! We would have gone out to a bar in town but due to the heavy rain, we bought drinks, went back to our room and played our game on the floor, which was our only option - and thankfully we still have the flexibility to sit on the floor! The room really needs two smaller chairs rather than one massive arm chair, plus a small table if guests are not allowed to use the bar/lounge area in the evenings. The music stand though nice, was taking up space that could be filled by a small table. The bed was very comfortable, however when lying down, I felt quite uneasy with a huge and very heavy looking musical instrument suspended just above my head! In Feng Shui design, this is a ‘no! no!’ Although the rooms are artistically designed, functionality and customer comfort was missing. A few small tweaks to make the room more functional and comfortable for two weary travellers to relax would make for a five star experience!

For decoration, and price

It was the cheapest room of our trip, and it was a suite. Very original decoration, it is comfortable but in its juice as they say. Probably the old post office. There's an elevator, but the slowest elevator in the world, we're told. I think so. And once on the 1st floor (there is only one), we have to go down a few steps and then go up to get to our suite. You said weird. The black spot is breakfast, maybe the worst I've ever met in my travels. I still give the mention "Very good" for the decoration.

When we checked-in we thought wow what an amazing hotel, that’s perfect in every way. However if you’re staying more than one night, be warned that our room had no storage space for clothes and only 2 clothes hangers. There’s one chair and no table, so for 2 people this could be an issue.
The bar and lounge are sealed off from 8pm to 8am, so you can’t make use of these facilities in the evening.

Fancy One-Night-Sleeping Location - Not more

The hotel is a fancy one-night sleeping accommodation! No service before 14:00 and at 20:00 the lobby is closed. Very unfortunate because this is very original almost museum equipped. Unfortunately, in the evening you have none of it because closed. The city is extinct around this time and there is a seating area in the room. On arrival everything is very impressive but not usable at the most important hotel times. Then you'd better get a hostel! Very bad

Poshtel, an A+

This was a top of the line hotel. The hotel has a beautiful lobby interior. Obviously a lot of thought was put into the decorations throughout the hotel. The room was cozy, bed comfy, sheets soft, and amenities luxurious.
People who work here are amazingly nice and helpful. I needed to buy a lock for my luggage and asked the woman who was working the delicious included breakfast where I could buy one. Not only did she point me to a close Warehouse store, she went on-line to make sure they had it and then told me the aisle to go to to save me time!
