Comfortable and tidy room

Pretty quick check in, room was spacious and discreetly maintained, clean bathroom. Negative note: from the window you could see the back (not the maximum) and breakfast in the morning was set up in the small lobby at the entrance with consumption in the room as the adjacent restaurant seems to be under renovation.
Slept well with super comfortable bed and XL, decentralized location but within walking distance of various restaurants and diners.

Details of the Incident:
I want to bring to your attention several serious issues I encountered during my recent stay:
First Room:
Hygiene Issues: Feces were found behind the sofa. The room was overall filthy, with black mold present everywhere in the bathroom ceiling and inside the drawers.
Pet-Friendly Concerns: This room was supposed to be pet-friendly, but the conditions were far from acceptable.
Initial Response: I reported these issues to the front desk, and Halij came to the room, took pictures, and informed me there were no other rooms available. However, when I went to the front desk a few minutes later for an explanation, Halij was suddenly able to find another room.
Second Room:
AC Not Working: The air conditioning was not functioning, which led to me catching a cold.
Security Issues: The front door lock was not working, and the sliding door to the parking lot did not close completely, letting in cold air overnight. This not only worsened my cold but also made the room insecure.
Hygiene Issues: There was black mold behind the door, and the room was also filthy.
Front Desk Response: When I informed Halij of these issues, his response was dismissive, stating, "It is not my fault, I'm just the front desk guy."
Manager's Response:
The next day, I called the manager to report these issues. After listening to my concerns, he initially offered a 100% refund but then reduced it to a 40% refund by the end of the call, stating he would call me back. He never did.The following day, I called again, and the manager claimed that the pet fee refund of 25 CAD was the only refund I would receive.
Resolution Requested:
Given the appalling conditions of both rooms and the inadequate response from the staff, I am demanding a 100% refund. I have photographic evidence to support my claims. This experience was outrageous and unacceptable.

Not very clean and cold lunch in our rooms

There was urine on the foot of the toilet bowl. The corridors were dirty. The furniture was damaged. Only one set worked on the TV. Breakfast was cold, we had to eat in our rooms, nothing to drink except coffee, very very disappointing compared to what we were supposed to have.
We're not going back.

Stay in Sherbrooke

It's been a long time since I've been to Sherbrooke on business. I am a member of the Choice hotel and as I had been satisfied with my stays in the Quality Suites in Quebec City and Victoriaville I thought I could not miss my shot while staying at this hotel in Sherbrooke. Let's say that the Sherbrooke hotel is not the image of quality as the hotels of my previous stays in this chain. The lobby is a reflection of what you will see all over the hotel. Cleanliness leaves much to be desired, old carpet, old decoration, tapestry of the 70s in short to give a 2 stars to this hotel is limit. Only positive, a comfortable bed. I go from comments for lunch because the one they promote at the adjacent restaurant was not available because it was being renovated when I was there.
There was one offered in the entrance hall, it was cold, we had to bring it to our room in a styrofoam dish, no utensils, coffee bottom decanter, no cabaret to go up with our cup of coffee and glass of juice. The employee offered me and made my roasts by taking the bread with his bare hands without wearing gloves after touching a lot of things.
It was not a suite but a regular room, but as I only had to spend two nights there to sleep and had an office to work in the evening I did not ask to change rooms.
This place is no credit to the chain. When I read the reviews of the majority of the different hotels in Sherbrooke I unfortunately find that customer service and quality hotels are a rare commodity in this city.

The property was poorly kept, very old and not updated, this included the grounds. The TV didn't work and they did offer to change rooms for us, but had already unpacked everything and needed to leave for an appointment, so declined. When we go back to the room for the evening notice a horrible smell like mildew and chemicals, slept with the sheet over my nose. Tiles in the bathroom were falling off the wall under the bathroom counter, many other small things. Guess we will be more careful and read all reviews.
