Best B&B in the region!

Accustomed since my youth to being received in guest rooms. I often come to the region where my younger brother and his wife live. I live in the Paris region. I came to the Clos du Plantis with my sister who was celebrating her 80th birthday and a friend who served as our guide and driver. I really fell in love with Clos du Plantis and its owner Chantal. Magnificent rooms, large, comfortable, bright and very well equipped. Top bathroom and exceptional bedding both in terms of the mattress base and the sheets. The owner has great taste. Real breakfast! Nothing is missing, fresh fruit in salad, fresh fruit juice, very good bread, hazelnuts, walnuts, homemade jams and yogurt. Little cakes. A delight. If there were, as for the Michelin restaurant guide, a guide which rewards the Clos du Plantis bed and breakfast would be honored with a Star. But a bed and breakfast is a reflection of its owners. And Chantal deserves recognition both for her investment, her kindness and her way of receiving! A great lady with a lot of class and intelligence of heart. His house is that of Happiness to be received by such a beautiful Person. In an era marked by intolerance, selfishness and every man for himself Chantal is a Star to follow when looking for guest rooms in the region. It's reassuring to come across her and share her comments on places to visit. She knows all the restaurants from St Jean d'Angely to Cognac. I know the restaurant business very well. My favorite is the restaurant Le Scorlion in St Jean d'Angely. We come there every time and we celebrated my sister's 80th birthday on January 17 at noon. Not a single false note, a perfect meal from the aperitif to the push cafe. Everything is good in this restaurant, quality products, extra cooking, classic desserts. Reception and service of the same order. The boss Claire is of the same caliber as Chantal du Clos Plantis. These two women love what they do and the truth is in their attitude and commitment. Woman is indeed the future of Man. Thanks to them both. A remarkable and unforgettable three-night stay and two meals at Scorlion. Francois Bernadette Didier

Delightful house in peaceful location

We spent three nights in this beautiful house whilst visiting friends. The house is in a peaceful location and has a lovely large garden. The hosts were wonderful and very accommodating. We had a lovely large room with shower and separate toilet. The room was beautifully furnished and spotlessy clean. There was a door straight out onto the delightful garden. Breakfasts were very tasty with plenty to eat and a great selection of homemade jams. I would highly recommend this place and would like to visit again in the summer when we can make use of the pool and garden.

A beautiful house in a great location

Our room was very light and quite large. Excellent bed, good shower and all amenities. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. They were very flexible with our arrival times and could not be more accommodating.

Clean, quiet newly refurbished countryside home

We spent several nights and enjoyed the quiet setting, the outdoor pool, the copious breakfasts were different very morning with fresh fruit and homemade jam.
Our room had been newly refurbished and was well kept, clean and quiet.

Peacefull paradise

At the end of our vacation we decided to book a few days in one place just to relax and found "Le Clos de Plantis". The house is very pretty and the garden lovely with all the trees and flowers. Our room was spacious, with a very comfortable bed and bathroom. Every morning you open your door and are directly in the garden, where you can sit in any kind of chair you want and enjoy the quietness, just read your book or take a swim in the pool. Everything is taken care of, the place is neat and looked after very well. The breakfast in the morning is very tasty and different every day. The lady of the house looks after you very well and she can give you lots of tips to visit nice places in the neighbourhood. To go to restaurants is about a 20 minute drive, for example to Cognac or Saintes and Saint Jean dÁngely. But in 6 minutes you also have a nice pizza restaurant. We loves it and would definitely go back if we are in the area!
