Nice hotel on the outskirts of Ubud. Great amenities with 6 pools and the gardens are fab. I was here a few years back and the place has become a little tired looking but still a great hotel. They offer a free shuttle for drop off and pickup in Ubud which is very handy. Breakfast is good with a great selection and they even made my room social for my birthday. I would recommend a stay here at the mansion

Not a great hotel. Perhaps this impression is because this is my first hotel in Bali, but I hope that the subsequent locations will be much better. It's very cold in the rooms, even though it's hot and stuffy outside. All things and linens are constantly wet (but I think it's not because of the hotel, but because of the climate). Breakfasts are very scarce, in a couple of days it is impossible to eat, you have to look for a cafe nearby. At night, strange guys hold very loud events while others sleep. The hotel allows such gatherings. In the shower it is impossible to wash - very uncomfortable bathrooms, eerily hot water scalds the skin, everywhere damp and smells damp. Prices are very high in restaurants (as in all hotels, though). Anyway, honestly, I don't recommend it. It is better to choose a good villa, but also taking into account all the features. P.S. The staff are trying hard, they're doing great. Only the staff liked it.

Just alright

Very pretty campus for the resort. Lots of greenery and pools, extremely pretty to look at. Unfortunately our air conditioner didn’t work the first night so it was awful but they did fix it the next night. Our villa was really pretty but bugs do get inside. We had to request them
To vacuum it since there were bugs all over the bed canopy. The sun beds are pretty but dirty as well and could use more frequent cleaning. The outdoor bath was gorgeous but after the first night we ran out of hot water so couldn’t use the tub or shower really. Had to shower really quickly in cold water. Breakfast was good but the other offerings of food at the restaurant weren’t great at all. Not really walkable at all to get to downtown ubud you have to take a car or shuttle. The staff were very friendly though. But didn’t love the no hot water or that we couldn’t really walk anywhere from the hotel. It is the jungle so lots of bugs in the room but it did have a mosquito net around the bed. Very instagramable but would have preferred hot water and a location that was more walkable. Loved all the greenery and pools though. Water in the pools isn’t heated just to be aware. We did end up leaving 2 nights early to go to sanur. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Has seen better times

The hotel has certainly seen better times. The structure is very nice, the staff is amazing, but overall, it requires quite some updates and maintenance. Our villa with pool was probably nice when it was built but now it looks abandoned. Food is quite average, and you can eat better and cheaper in Ubud center. If it was not for the nice staff, I would not recommend it at all.

The property is stunningly beautiful. The staff are extremely friendly and non-intrusive. Bali is a hot climate and the air conditioning in the room worked well, the hot water for the shower did not work so well, there is no air conditioning in the lobby/restaurant area but there are a few cooling fans. The hotel has six boutique size swimming pools, absolutely marvellous. The food in the restaurant is quite good, the included breakfasts are very good, way better than what has become standard in North America.
