Comfort and cleaniness was great! Though to sleep was like a Sauna.

I feel like the restrooms/showers could have been cleaner. At one point, water was draining from one of the showers onto the common bathroom area.

The staff was very rude, I was lectured on not speaking Spanish for 5 minutes when I arrived although I am trying to learn and using google translate. The light in my room would not turn off. When I asked they said it was automatic and just to stay still. But it never turned off. I had to sleep with it on all night. Luckily Morelia itself was amazing, full of helpful, kind people. But I was very disappointed with how rude Carlos was at the hostal. Would not stay here again due to staff.

Love this place! Surprise find in Morelia!

Super clean and beautifully decorated, there's even a privacy shutterdoor for your dorm bed! Chilly at night in Dec so ask for a warm blanket. Awesome location just next to huge sweets/shopping market and short walk to the church. Must try the buffet supervegetariano restaurant nearby! Affordable small group tours with daily departures at hostel- do visit the Morelia butterfly nature reserve when in season!
