Hotel is upgraded, great for the price

We stayed here again after 1 year and I must say the hotel is much better now than it was before. The rooms are upgraded and everything was clean this time. The breakfast was buffet style, hot and cold meals were served .. Most of the staff is kind and helpful. It’s not the best hotel we stayed in but for this price it’s the best you can get. We will come back again.

Nice, but quite overpriced hotel

Hotel is quite nice and tidy. We been there only for a night and just needed a place to sleep, so it was ok. But for longer pleasant stay I wouldn't go there again. The bathroom and whole room had a strong smell of mold. Sheets were nice and clean, just very very old, so careful if you have any dust or mold allergies. Staff didn't speak english, but tried to be helpful and we managed somehow.
Anyway, full price is 42eur per double room, wich I think is quite overpriced for such conditions so far away from city center.

Sport Hotel Borik has a good location near trolleybus stop Tulipanova (trolley nr. 3). Zilina and is easy reached by car. In front of the hotel is a car park. Staff is normally pleasant and family.
I think this is not hotel this is hostel form. You don't have a WC or Shower on the room. Rooms are quite good but very nosily. I don´t recommend breakfast because breakfast is poor quality.
My room was clean and small but for one night sleeping is quite good. All rooms have very small TV. Wi-Fi is in the all rooms. Walking around the corridor but not silent. Shower and toilets are shared. The price is higher for this kind of "comfort" .

Two nights in Zilina

Sport Hotel Borik has a good location near trolleybus stop Tulipanova (trolley nr. 3). Staff is very pleasant and family. I recommend breakfast because breakfast is a warm (eggs or sausage...) and tasty. The rooms are clean and small but for sleeping is good. All rooms are TV. Wi-Fi is in the all rooms.
Walking around the corridor but not silent. Shower and toilets are shared. The price is low.

Fab, friendly place to stay.

We stayed here as part of a group for a wedding, and would recommend to anyone. The staff were brilliant and went out of there way to make us feel welcome even opening the restaurant on days it would normally be closed. The hotel is in a convenient position for public transport. The rooms were very clean and quiet spacious, we had a travel cot in ours but still had plenty of room to move about.
