AVOID

Absolutely disgusting! Will not be staying here again, reception is rude! Bathroom hadn’t been cleaned, mould, people’s body hair was found in there! The room has a musky smell, and doors were banging! Left immediately and have contacted customer service, AVOID!

Low price for the reason

Second morning of our stay a massive German shepherd dog assaulted us in the reception as we tried to leave the hotel. The receptionist couldn't been bothered to interrupt, my Wife left shaking for good hour after this incident, even broke the shoes trying to escape the angry dog! Seems a large animals is allowed there without a safety precautions. Talking about the safety - multiple metal shavings was left in the bath and around on the floor with some self tapping screws laying around, stepped on a few.. No day curtains on the windows so all voyeurs welcome to look into ground floor rooms from outside. Parking is very limited with empty vast space around for permit holders only making no sense whatsoever.
Room was large otherwise, check-in night a receptionist was an angel helped us a lot.

False advertisement - dirty hotel

Booked a double PLUS room for the additional perks, was downgraded without knowledge or consent because they sold the room to cheaply. Happens regularly apparently. I was given a family room, there was a fresh pool of WET blood on the carpet which made the room stink like an old maxi pad. I settled on a standard double with no compensation or money back, because the rooms always cost more on the day than advance booking, so they can screw you over and do it without any partial refund. Disgusting accommodation. Travelodge has really gone downhill over recent years. Won't stay again.

Worst hotel in the UK

This has to be the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in the UK. It was filthy dirty, mouldy, smelly and their customer service is abysmal. I honestly can’t put into words how terrible this place is. It hasn’t seen a lick of paint for seemingly 20 plus years. No one uses the elevator as it sounds like it’s on its last legs. Dogs barking through the night. The windows are ridiculously and let a draft through. Just spend an extra couple of pounds and stay elsewhere.
