Avoid Country Inn and Suites, Jonesborough, TN
This hotel is worn, inside and out, from furnishings to paint and flooring. Sleeping rooms need a re-fresh, televisions are old and small. The pool and water looks dirty and dank, in an un-heated bare-bones cavernous room off the lobby.
Breakfast is a minimal selection of frozen pre-packaged foods; instant oatmeal offered, except no water, bowls, or microwave to make it. The coffee is very good, hot and fresh.
Hotel Manager "Heather" is unavailable; will not return messages pertaining to issues with accommodations. The hotel plays "bait and switch" on rooms (meaning you reserve a king suite; on arrival you get put in a regular room with the only explanation being "the room type you prepaid is not available").
Michelle, Front Desk Agent, is unfortunately ineffective to assist with anything other than check-in. Room attendants change your towels and make your bed, but never re-stock in-room coffee and tea service, not replace empty tissue box.
At least it's only a 5 minute walk into Olde Towne Jonesborough, so one redeeming factor to our stay.
